Ford says battery supply support a 600K EVs production annually, based on their supplier network, starting in 2023.

According to a report from the Detroit Free Press, the automaker has entered an agreement with Chinese battery manufacturer Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. That deal comes on top of Ford’s current agreement with LG to supply batteries, as well as a contract to build batteries in a joint venture with Korean manufacturer SK Innovation at facilities in Kentucky and Tennessee.
Ford has been making major investments in battery manufacturing as part of its larger plan to have 50 percent of its new vehicle sales be electric by 2030. The 600,000 vehicles accounts for 270,000 Mustang Mach-Es and 150,000 F-150 Lightning pickups in the U.S., as well as another 180,000 vehicles globally.
