Ford Authority reports on a speech that Ford CEO Jim Farley made at a recent conference. The company is eyeing tens of billions of dollars in revenue from subscriptions to Blue Cruise and other features. Commercial services are expected to be a big part of that stream.

Farley described the opportunity as the “most exciting kind of land grab of revenue in our industry since the Model T,” according to the story.

He envisioned a more advanced suite of ADAS, including self-driving features that allow people to “fall asleep in their car” during the commute. No current system allows that kind of detachment from drivers.
