Ford begins production of their F-150 lightning pickup truck at the Rouge Electric Vehicle Centre to fill their 200 000 reservations for the pickup.

Fittingly, production of the pickup is happening in the same Rouge Complex where Henry Ford perfected the assembly line with the Ford Model T.

The initial offering of the F-150 Lightning offers 320 miles of range on a single charge, 10,000 pounds of towing capacity, 563 horsepower and a zero to 60 time under 4.5 seconds.
